Councillor John Smart

It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of Councillor John Smart.
Councillor Smart was first elected to the Parish Council in 1995 and served on various committees, chairing the Finance and General Purposes Committee.
In 2012 he was elected as Chairman of the Parish Council, a role which he he held until 2019 when he stepped down due to ill health.
While Chairman Councillor Smart also chaired the Parish Charter Monitoring Group, the body that liaises between Telford & Wrekin Council and the 29 parish meetings and parish and town councils within the Borough.
Our sincere condolences go to Councillor Pat Smart and their children and grandchildren.
